Education...

Marvin was proud and justly so, of his children and their accomplishments. Caroline had become a registered nurse, which was a special joy to him. He was proud to be there when she got her cap, and it was an even greater thrill when she got her certificate of graduation.

Phil had graduated from Saint John's College in Annapolis, Maryland, and studied two years with Frank Lloyd Wright, the truly great architect.

It was a thrilling experience to be at the BYU and see Francis receive his degree in accounting, then even greater, when after some years and five children, to see him become a CPA and get his Master's degree.

Joe decided that after seven years of married life and five children, he needed more education. That pleased Marvin very much and he gave Joe all the encouragement he could and was happy to give him some financial help. We loved going to Logan to visit them and it was a Red Letter Day in our lives to be there when Joe received his B.S. degree from Utah State, and Marilyn received her PHT (Putting Hubby Through).
